<summary type="text">Analysis of the Re-run Election and Electoral Integrity in the 2018 Osun State Governorship Election
Ogunmodede, Suraju Aderemi; Shittu, Afeez Kolawole
This paper examined the rerun election and electoral integrity in the 2018 Governorship election in Osun State. The paper utilized both primary and secondary sources of data collection. The primary data was collected through semi-structured interviews with twenty (20) purposively selected respondents including legal practitioners, electoral officers, political parties’ stalwarts, and academia. The respondents were selected based on their expertise on the subject matter and their involvement in the rerun election. The secondary data were sourced from relevant literature, textbooks, journals, election manuals and guidelines, magazines and library archives. The data collected were analyzed using content analysis. This paper concluded that the conduct of the 2018 rerun governorship election in Osun State lacks all the elements of a credible election and thus questions the integrity of the election. This is not unconnected with several factors, including political parties’ quest to control government at all costs, the nature of the zero-sum game of political parties, and voters’ mentality among others made the rerun election more controversial and thus affect its credibility. It is recommended among others that internal democracy rather than the imposition of candidates should be embraced among political parties in the selection of a party flagbearer.

Barman, Binoy; Rahman, Mohammad Mustafizur
Nowadays, thanks to Covid-19 pandemic, teachers have to conduct classes online since physical&#13;
classes are discouraged by the institutional and state authorities. Daffodil International University&#13;
is no exception. It has introduced Blended Learning Center (BLC) to help teachers and students to&#13;
manage their teaching/learning in an effective way. Teachers can share their resources with&#13;
students, who again share their learning experiences with teachers. Assessment is also done&#13;
through this platform. Virtual interactions take place through Google Meet, whose link is provided&#13;
in the platform. It has been a unique experience, both for teachers and students, to use BLC as an&#13;
online teaching/learning platform. We collected feedback from students to know how they feel&#13;
about it. In the paper we present the findings, reflecting the perceptions of learners using BLC.

Ibrahim, Shuaibu; Audu, Bem Japhet
This paper set out to discuss issues of democracy, good governance and development in&#13;
Nigeria. The paper begins by conceptualizing the concepts of ‘democracy’, ‘good governance’ and&#13;
‘sustainable development’. It utilizes secondary source of data collection, while, the approach used&#13;
in the paper is descriptive and content analytical. The paper adopts the Marxist political economy&#13;
strand of conflict theory, and argues that there is the problematic of poor leadership and bad&#13;
governance as democratic practice and governance in Nigeria is not practiced in tandem with basic&#13;
democratic principles and values of good governance. This trend of governance, has no doubt&#13;
impedes development efforts of Nigeria as a nation. To evolve virile and viable democratic&#13;
governance, emphasis should be on strict adherence to democratic values and good governance&#13;
/leadership such as accountability, sound economy, virile and viable civil society, among others.

<summary type="text">Revisiting Nazrul
Laskar, Ariful Islam; Maria, Farhanaz
Kazi Nazrul Islam, born in a poor family, led a life of struggle but encountered all&#13;
challenges through a romantic approach to life and poetic creation. His romantic attitude&#13;
involves profound insight that can be attained in multifarious ways but can only be understood&#13;
and made meaningful by expressing and sharing love. The oeuvre of his poetry demonstrates&#13;
how love is concealed in everything-even in war- implying that even war can bring forth&#13;
harmony and good in this universe though it sounds paradoxical. However, to Nazrul, it is clear&#13;
that anything can be considered as love as long as it brings good to humanity as a whole. Thus,&#13;
Kazi Nazrul, popularly known as a rebel poet, looks for the seed of love in each place where&#13;
other poets or people dare to venture. This paper, thus, examines how underneath every verse,&#13;
he manages and approaches concepts of rebellion, war, equality, humanity, tolerance, and even&#13;
secularism proclaiming the idea of love and its practice among human races covertly and&#13;
overtly. His rebellion is against all sorts of injustice, inequality, orthodoxy, fascism, and racism&#13;
which deliberately, and sometimes inadvertently, and nonetheless boldly chants the slogan of&#13;
greater love for the whole human race. Moreover, the paper contends that though Nazrul dealt&#13;
with different subject matters, every subject matter, however, falls into the same place, that is,&#13;
love – love for humanity.
