In this digital era academic libraries are already facing their&#13;
greatest challenges and difficulties with multiple communication channels.&#13;
For more than a decade, academic libraries have been under the pressure&#13;
to change its way of operation and management due to constraint of budget&#13;
and the appearance of online resources. These situations cause the libraries&#13;
to value their development of resource and the application of library&#13;
marketing to better service. How to retain and increase users through&#13;
enhancement of service becomes the great concern of library managers/&#13;
librarians. Customer Relationship Management (CRM) is not a tactical or&#13;
functional approach but a key strategic process. A comprehensive CRM is&#13;
highlighted with its pillars, characteristics, basic principles, initiatives in&#13;
libraries, library service, significance, model and 4S, and user satisfaction&#13;
through evaluating academic libraries in this study.

The latest developments in Information and&#13;
Communication Technology (ICT) have made the&#13;
concept “Libraries without walls” into a practical&#13;
reality. This has posed several challenges to the&#13;
information work force and the information users.&#13;
Developments in computers, microelectronics and&#13;
communication technologies have dramatically&#13;
changed the library and information environment. In&#13;
this regard, the information environment is changing&#13;
greatly throughout the world. Digital libraries are&#13;
emerging as an important area of research and&#13;
number of other related disciplines for information&#13;
science in information age. The information&#13;
technology has made a profound impact on&#13;
availability and accessibility of e-resources. The&#13;
concept of digital libraries and its objectives in&#13;
university digital system and challenges has been&#13;
discussed in digital libraries environment. This&#13;
research paper is highlighted infrastructure and&#13;
technology as challenges facing and parameters of&#13;
digital environment. With the application of IT&#13;
university libraries could gradually overcome such&#13;
challenges and opportunities in consideration of&#13;
users’ perspective. University librarians are facing&#13;
difference challenges which have been focused in this&#13;
study. It is also mentioned users’ expectation and&#13;
requirements for digital environment in university&#13;
libraries. The paper focuses its opportunities in&#13;
digital environment in university libraries.

and challenge. Marketing concepts itself is changing and has different meaning form different&#13;
renowned people. The concept of marketing is widely applicable in library and information&#13;
environment. Now marketing is whole organization concept which requires years of continual&#13;
activities. Marketing of library services is the effective execution of all the activities involved in&#13;
enhancing satisfaction of users by providing maximum value of them. It is a total solution for&#13;
library and information centers. There have been enormous developments in marketing of library&#13;
and information services around the world. The present research paper aims to explore the&#13;
discipline of marketing for librarians. Practical solutions are provided on how to implement a&#13;
marketing strategy and plan with particular emphasis on the value of using information resources&#13;
in libraries to the users.

Daffodil International University (DIU) is on its way to be the number one ranked university of&#13;
Bangladesh by providing quality education and making leader for the future. As a top ranked university of&#13;
Bangladesh, the quality and the IT based education system has created the university as a model of&#13;
excellence for other universities of Bangladesh. Arrangement of different faculties, innovative programs&#13;
under different departments, strong administration members, etc. has made Daffodil International University&#13;
as unique one. By keeping its uniqueness, DIU is going to build the number one Permanent Campus of a&#13;
private university with all modern and latest educational facilities and the work of the Permanent Campus at&#13;
Ashulia was started on 10th February, 2011. The Permanent Campus project is in progress and will be&#13;
implemented in four phases and it will have individual faculty and administrative infrastructure, residential&#13;
hall, library, cafeteria, TSC, auditorium, playground, swimming pool, gymnasium, departmental faculties,&#13;
and ICT center. This study is designed to describe the establishment and the authentic growth of DIU main&#13;
campus, in details, to demonstrate the future plan of this university as a guideline for future development of&#13;
a university Master Plan and it covers the entire activities done by DIU and future planning for completing&#13;
the Permanent Campus at Ashulia.
