Abstract

Our documentary film 'Discovering Moheshkhali' was inspired by the beauty and uniqueness of this little-known island in the Bay of Bengal. Despite its rich cultural heritage and stunning natural beauty, Moheshkhali remains largely unknown to the outside world. Our goal is to shed light on this island's history, culture, and challenges, and to inspire a new generation of travelers and conservationists to visit and protect this precious corner of Bangladesh. To achieve this goal, we conducted extensive research and on-location filming, including interviews with local residents, historians, and conservationists. Our film offers a unique perspective on the island, showcasing its diverse ecosystem, rich cultural heritage, and the impact of tourism and climate change on its future. We believe that by showcasing Moheshkhali to the world, we can raise awareness about its importance and inspire action to protect it for future generations. Our film serves as a call to action for all those who care about preserving our planet's natural beauty and cultural heritage.
