Abstract:
The impact of diet and eating habits on mental and physical health is becoming increasingly apparent, with numerous studies linking unhealthy diets to a higher chance of developing chronic illnesses such overweight, impaired glucose tolerance, cardiovascular problems, and cancer. Additionally, research has shown that A balanced diet full of fresh produce, complete grains, lean proteins, and water can enhance mental wellbeing and consequences such as depression, anxiety, and cognitive function. Studies have linked high intake of processed foods, saturated fats, and refined sugars to negative mental health outcomes. Furthermore, eating habits, such as skipping meals or consuming excess alcohol, have been correlated with detrimental effects on both emotional and physical wellbeing. Poor eating habits have been associated with higher levels of stress, anxiety, and fatigue, which can impact mental health negatively. Similarly, skipping meals or consuming large amounts of alcohol can disrupt sleep patterns, leading to decreased results of physical wellbeing, such as weight gain, cardiovascular disease, besides decreased immune function.
