Abstract:
AI technology's arrival has dramatically reshaped numerous sectors, altering employment patterns and economic distribution. This paper examines AI's impact on empowerment and employment in Bangladesh, highlighting shifts in skill acquisition, job displacement, and social equity. AI is creating new opportunities in digital marketing, graphic design, and web development, and boosting freelancing within the gig economy. However ,automation raises concerns about job security, particularly for low-skilled workers. Ethical implications demand workforce adaptation, and the rise of digital clusters offers both promise and challenges, including reduced gender discrimination. To ensure AI’s benefits are equitably shared, policy measures like education reform, retraining programs, and public-private partnerships are crucial. Ultimately, while AI offers pathways to economic empowerment, it also poses risks to job security and social equity, making strategic reforms essential for an inclusive, AI-driven future in Bangladesh.
