This study explores the phytochemical makeup, thrombolytic properties, and antioxidant actions of Flacourtia inermis, a plant known for its traditional medicinal applications. The research starts with a phytochemical analysis to identify essential bioactive compounds such as flavonoids, tannins, phenols, and alkaloids, which are recognized for their various pharmacological benefits. The thrombolytic capability was measured in vitro to evaluate the plant's effectiveness in dissolving blood clots, an important feature for promoting cardiovascular health. Moreover, antioxidant capacity was assessed through free radical scavenging tests to gauge the plant’s potential to alleviate oxidative stress, a contributor to chronic diseases. Findings reveal that Flacourtia inermis exhibits considerable thrombolytic and antioxidant effects, likely due to its abundant phytochemical constituents, thereby reinforcing its potential in natural treatments for cardiovascular issues and conditions related to oxidative stress. This research lays the groundwork for further investigation into the therapeutic uses of Flacourtia inermis and its bioactive compounds within pharmacology and integrative medicine |
