“Financial Performance Analysis of NCC Bank PLC”

Abstract

The completion of the internship report is a prerequisite for the Daffodiil International University BBA program. The topic of this study is "Financial Performance Analysis of NCC Bank PLC." The goal of this report is to help the reader gain a thorough grasp of a Bangladeshi bank's financial performance. This internship report was created using NCC Bank PLC's financial performance from 2018 to 2022. Based on updated information on their business era from their annual report for the years 2018–2022, the study was conducted. I thoroughly studied NCC Bank PLC's financial performance from 2018 to 2022 through this internship report, and I learned much about the dynamics of Bangladesh's banking industry. Through the examination of diverse financial instruments and approaches, I was able to discern patterns, advantages, and opportunities for enhancement in the bank's functioning. In the end, this experience gave me a thorough understanding of financial analysis methods and demonstrated how to put theory into practice when assessing actual business performance. There are five chapters to this report. The first chapter of this paper focuses on the introduction. The study's introduction, background, genesis, objective, methodology, and limitations are all described in the first chapter. The second chapter provides an overview of NCC Bank PLC. This chapter discusses the company's background, mission, vision, values, products, services, and business. The third chapter covers theoretical knowledge, financial instruments, measurement methodologies, and the application of financial performance, such as trend analysis, common size income statements, common size balance sheets, and ratio analysis. Finally, the report's fourth chapter, which includes a financial performance review, is quite essential. It comprises trend analysis, a common size income statement and balance sheet, and ratio analysis. The analysis of this report yielded a suitable outcome. Finally, in the final or fifth chapter, some results obtained during the analytical process are presented, along with recommendations for improving financial performance. This chapter also provides general findings.
