In today's world, the Internet of Things (IOT) plays a crucial role, facilitating the
connection and communication of automated devices. Through IOT technology, data from
the environment can be sensed using various hardware devices and transmitted online via
the Internet to cloud-based software platforms. Real-time monitoring of diverse
environmental factors, including weather conditions, has become possible, enabling
informed decision-making regarding the suitability of different regions or environments
for human activity. This awareness is particularly important due to the prevalence of
airborne infectious diseases and the widespread use of chemicals in various industries,
which can impact air quality. Our project focuses on developing an IOT device capable of
detecting air quality and providing actionable insights based on the gathered data. We
employ a range of hardware components, including Arduino Uno, Node MCU Esp8266
Module, Raspberry Pi, and various sensors such as MQ series gas sensors, BMP-280
Sensor, and PM sensors. The collected data will be processed and analyzed using our
custom-built application's API, allowing us to monitor and assess air quality in different
areas of Dhaka city. The system will classify Dhaka city into two categories based on air
quality: Good and Bad. This classification will help individuals make informed decisions,
such as whether to wear masks or take other precautions when entering certain areas with
poor air quality. By leveraging IOT technology and real-time monitoring capabilities, our
project aims to contribute to enhancing environmental awareness and public health in urban
environments like Dhaka. |
