Abstract:
The growing metropolitan area of Bangladesh's Dhaka City highlights the pressing need for
creative waste management solutions to deal with the country's growing population densities and
related environmental problems. This study looks at how a sophisticated waste management
system using cutting-edge IoT technology is developed and put into use. The aim is to provide
innovative methods for efficient waste collection and handling, acknowledging noteworthy
obstacles and incorporating pertinent parties. The suggested system allows for real-time trash
level monitoring and efficient scheduling and routing of collection routes by incorporating IoT
sensors into waste bins. An intuitive online tool gives stakeholders useful information that they
may use to make well-informed decisions and run operations more effectively. This allencompassing approach tackles the intricate waste management issues facing Dhaka City by
fusing sustainability principles, stakeholder participation, and technological innovation. Through
resource and environmental optimization, the suggested method seeks to improve garbage
collection routes and schedules, fostering a more hygienic, livable, and sustainable urban
environment. Furthermore, the community is engaged through an easy-to-use online interface
that provides individuals with garbage information and promotes proper disposal methods.
Through the seamless integration of IoT technology and community interaction, this project
intends to establish sustainable trash management solutions that are adapted to Dhaka's urban
context, reduce environmental impact, and boost efficiency.
