Abstract:
This study addresses the use of blockchain technology to enhance the pharmaceutical
supply chain in Bangladesh, handling significant challenges including product quality
and fake medicines. The analysis of the literature highlights the shortcomings of
earlier research as well as the pressing need for improved supply chain authenticity
and transparency. The main objective of the development of a blockchain-based
system blueprint are selecting an appropriate blockchain platform, resolving supply
chain problems with blockchain, and identifying particular implementation challenges
in Bangladesh. The motivation of this research is to make the pharmaceutical system
more transparent and trustworthy. In-depth literature reviews, supply chain blueprints,
and the selection of a suitable blockchain platform based on key factors are all part of
the research process. The results shows the comparison of different blockchain
platform as well as highlights their potential benefits and implementation challenges
to Bangladeshi pharmaceutical supply chain system to replace the existing system.
This thesis is different from others because of it’s comparative analysis of several
blockchain platforms from the perspective of Bangladesh's pharmaceutical supply
chain.
