dc.description.abstract This study explores the development of inland water transportation (IWT), specifically evaluating the feasibility of constructing IWT in the Turag River area of Dhaka to ease the traffic congestion that affects the city. The paper looks into the possible advantages of IWT, such as increased access, transport integration, economic development, and environmentalism. The study also examines the obstacles to applying IWT and analyzes challenges relating to pollution and Seized lands of the Turag River. The study introduces IWT as a viable form of transportation that may transform the mobility of individuals in cities and drastically bring down traffic hitches and emissions of carbon. The study paints a picture of a city without unbearable traffic congestion, reduced air pollution, and an efficient water transport system. Spotlighting the positive Tourist Centric Impacts and the ability to connect the Turag River to the transportation network, studying the conveniences that IWT can offer, such as less traffic congestion, economic upliftment, and environmental concerns, is the primary positive focus of the study. It also identifies the assessed impact of implementing IWT, where pollution and illegal river occupation are some of the many concerns of the Turag River. en_US
