Service industry has been revolutionized by digital technology by introducing online
platforms to facilitate the access to different services. “Subidha” is a web-based platform
which we designed as our final year project to ease the access of home services. This
platform possesses a variety of features to support Service Providers as well as Service
Customers. Some of them are Service Categorization, Location based search, Service
Selection, Order Placement, Payment, Customer Feedback, Real-time chat support etc.
Subidha operates via user accounts where service providers as well as customers can create
their profiles by entering necessary details. Service providers can display their prior work
history with sample work and personal information, and customers can make informed
decisions on the basis of service ratings and reviews. The use of geolocation technology
also enables customers to easily request a service by simply selecting their current location,
and service providers who are already in the area can then respond and offer their services
to the customer. This is not only convenient for customers, but also allows service providers
to be more accessible and offer additional services as social changes unfold. In addition to
a real-time chat feature, Subidha also comprises a secure online payment gate so that all
transactions for services are as seamless as possible. |
