The internship program at the National Institute of Burn and Plastic Surgery, Dhaka. l lasted one month, from February 1st to April 30th. The primary objectives of this internship were to develop hands-on skills in patient care and to learn from observing the interactions between patients and nutritionists. I learned about burn patient diet charts and NG feeding during my internship. During my internship, it was noted that a particular group of patients exhibited insufficient adherence to their prescribed dietary routines. The internship program provided me with an invaluable opportunity to gain insights and expertise that will significantly enhance my personal and professional development in the long run. By following prescribed dietary plans, patients can manage their diabetes and other health conditions effectively. Additionally, I have recognized the potential advantages of incorporating changes to help reduce the symptoms and complications faced by burn patients. I can confidently say that my experience in this internship program has greatly broadened my understanding of the professional world. |
