Legal Analysis of Misuse Of laws Designated to protect Women in Bangladesh Context.

Abstract

In Bangladesh, a bundle of laws has been enacted to protect women from violence, discrimination and exploitation as like we see there are Dowry Prohibition Act to protect them from an abnormal situation. There are also some laws like, The Acid Control Act, The Code of Criminal procedure 1898.Though this laws aim is to safe women’s rights and ensure their protection, there are increasing concerns regarding their misuse. This research examines the nature and extent of this misuse, exploring instances of false accusations, its impact on the legal system and the social consequences for both accusers and accused and some recommendations to decrease this issue. This research highlighted how false cases filed to settle personal scores and undermine the credibility of genuine cases. To Addresses these challenges the study proposes legal and policy recommendations like a stronger variation in legal process, enacted some laws and penalties for false allegations, public awareness
