dc.description.abstract Hypo and Hyperkalemia and also protein imbalance is an independent risk factor for a chronic kidney disease. Nutritional guidance is significant for patients with chronic kidney disease (CKD), particularly in balancing protein and potassium intake. This study aimed to evaluate the nutritional knowledge of nurses, specifically regarding protein and potassium management for chronic kidney disease (CKD) patients. The goal was to assess their understanding of dietary recommendations and the importance of balancing protein and potassium intake. A cross-sectional survey was conducted among 63 nurses at a kidney hospital to assess their knowledge of CKD-related nutrition, specifically focusing on protein and potassium intake. The survey used a standardized questionnaire and employed convenientsampling method. Chisquare test and multinomial regression were used to analyze the data. The study involved 63 female nurses with an average age of 26.38 years. Most were from the cabin unit and held diploma certificates. While many had general CKD knowledge, their understanding of protein and potassium was more varied. More experienced nurses showed significantly higher levels of nutritional knowledge, particularly regarding protein and potassium en_US
