The Role of Merchandising in the RMG Sector of Bangladesh-A Study on Tex Design Sourcing Limited

Abstract

The department of merchandising is the most important part of the export-oriented sector. It enhances the potential for the growth of entrepreneurship in the garment industry. It allows both the unemployed and the government to eliminate the problem of poverty and also to play an important role in the country's economic growth. The report is divided into five chapters. First chapter contains the introductory part of the report which implies introduction, background, scope, objectives, methodology and limitations of the study. Second chapters include About Design Sourcing Limited, Mission of Tex Design Sourcing Limited, Commitment of Tex Design Sourcing Limited, Services of Tex Design Sourcing Limited, Products of Tex Design Sourcing Limited, Different Departments of Tex Design Sourcing Limited, Production Process and Business Ethics of Tex Design Sourcing Limited. Third chapter consists theoretical aspects such as Merchandising Activities, Basic qualification of a Merchandiser, Activities of a Merchandiser and Responsibilities of Senior Merchandiser.
