Abstract:
In conclusion, the banking system in Bangladesh has undergone three distinct phases of development: Nationalization, Privatization, and the Financial Sector Reform. The study aimedto comprehensively understand and analyze the credit management practices of BRAC Bank Limited (Nawabgonj Branch), focusing on credit assessment procedures and identifying various credit products offered by the branch. The analysis revealed that the bank's income is significantly influenced by the activities of the foreign exchange division and credit division, both of which are managed effectively by BRAC Bank Limited (Nawabgonj Branch). However, challenges arise from external pressures, including political influences, which sometimes lead to hasty loan approvals without proper assessment.
