dc.description.abstract This report titled “An Analysis of Employees Performance Appraisal Techniques of Janata Bank PLC,” explores the performance appraisal system at Janata Bank PLC, with a focus on identifying key challenges, analyzing the current processes, and offering actionable recommendations for improvement. As a state-owned bank in Bangladesh, Janata Bank's performance appraisal system plays a crucial role in employee development, enhancing organizational performance, and maintaining competitiveness in a rapidly evolving banking sector. However, the report identifies several areas where the current system could be optimized to improve overall effectiveness. The analysis highlights ten major challenges within the performance appraisal process, including bias and subjectivity in evaluations, the absence of clear and standardized performance metrics, resistance to feedback, and time constraints faced by appraisers. In addition, issues such as inadequate training for managers, difficulties in adapting to new technologies, employee perceptions of inequity, and the bank's limited international presence are also addressed.. en_US
