dc.description.abstract One of Bangladesh's busiest and most significant highways, the Dhaka-Tangail highway links the nation's capital city with its northern areas. Nevertheless, in spite of its importance, the highway is notorious for having a high number of traffic accidents. Because of the deaths, injuries, and property damage these accidents produce, they are becoming a major source of concern for the public and for the government. Dhaka Tangail highway still a dead trap. 229 deaths in 133 road accidents in a year. According to a study released by RSF (Reporters Without Borders), 186 individuals sustained injuries on the Dhaka-Tangail route in total last year. 78 more persons lost their lives in 47 motorcycle accidents. 48 bystanders or pedestrians and 54 additional auto rickshaw passengers perished in those incidents. en_US
