This project involves performing all operations needed to develop a garment fit sample under a specific purchase order from a multinational fashion retailer named Hennes and Mauritz AB, popularly known as H&M, based in Sweden for their womenswear premium brand ARKET. This highlights the significance of fit sample development in the initial stage of purchase order confirmation and describes the difficulties a manufacturer encounter in producing perfect samples. By emphasizing the key documents such as the tech pack, which lists specifications like fabric types, trims, and design details etc., the study seeks to offer a thorough grasp of the sample development process, from initial stages to final approval. This paper analyzes the sample development process by looking at the different steps and requirements needed to get buyer approval. Specification sheets, fabrics, care labels, accessories, and style sketches are all thoroughly evaluated in this regard. The results demonstrated the need for accurate documentation and effective communication between the personnel involved in the sample development process to successfully produce a faultless fit sample. |
