It starts by defining the different interaction modes between a student and a teacher such as guidance, collaborative learning interaction, and daily classroom activities. The report further discusses the way these relations are reflected in the normal classroom environments. Also, the research demonstrates that good relations between students and teachers may allow improving the learning process, increasing student interest, and developing positive emotions. It also defines the main qualities like empathy, mutual respect and good communication as characteristics that help to grow and sustain meaningful relations, with references to the observations in the classroom practice. The report further explains the problems that are likely to occur when one wants to form these relationships. Finally, it gives practical and easily applicable recommendations of how the student-teacher relationship will be strengthened, and how this will help to have a more nurturing, effective, and supportive educational environment with all players involved in the teaching and learning of high school education.
