“My Professional Experience as an English Teacher at a Secondary School: Nalua Based Khan High School”

Abstract

The primary goal of this internship is to describe the teaching methods and techniques of English in Secondary level of Schools in Bangladesh. This internship helps me to grow as a teacher. Before I had no knowledge about teaching in schools but this internship helps to gain the knowledge about the environment of Schools. And most importantly I have got the idea about the professional life and the struggle part of a teacher. During my internship, I have observed many classes and taught a few classes in school to get the idea of the teaching style, classroom activities, resources, participation of students, classroom management. I also observed the teachers to get the insight how teacher deal with the issues such as large classroom management, shortage of resources, manage the weak students etc. This observations helped me to utilize in my teaching and engage students such as group work, question and answer sessions etc. These way of learning helped the students make them focused and interest the topic. The report details everything I observed, experienced and learned throughout the internship.
