Abstract:
This internship report narrates my own experience of test preparation to write the IELTS exam as a prerequisite to the ENG 431 Project Paper. The purpose of this internship was to enhance my language skills in English and get ready for the official test of IELTS. In the preparations, I had a study schedule, practiced various types of questions, and used various learning resources, such as mock tests, online portals, and IELTS practice books. I concentrated on enhancing the four main skills, which are listening, reading, writing, and speaking. I had certain challenges, particularly time management and fluency in speaking, although I was able to overcome them with the help of regular practice. Through this journey, I have also joined a coaching center known as MENTORS, in which I was given adequate guidance, professional feedback, and systematic training that helped me in preparation and improved me. This preparation has not only made me more confident and proficient in the language but will also assist me in my academic ambitions in a foreign country.
