Abstract:
This internship report is a detailed description of the preparation taken to carry exam to the International English Language Testing System (IELTS) test, experiences of the student, methodologies used, results obtained and implications of the learning process. The internship would enhance the proficiency in the English language and equip the student to academic and professional environments where the high level of English proficiency is required, which explains the importance of having a high IELTS band score when seeking access to international academic and professional prospects. The preparation process was systematic and consisted of planning on pre-preparation, choice of study materials, creating an organized study plan, frequent practice examination, and a systematized feedback assessment with the help of a mixture of self-study, formal preparation classes, as well as guidance of mentors and peers. This strict procedure led to a good band score, which was an indicator of the efficiency of the strategies that were implemented and the dedication of the student. The internship helped to develop better communication skills, stronger confidence in the English usage, and a greater appreciation of the need to constantly learn and improve oneself, as well as provide feedback on strong and weak points and areas of further work. On the whole, this experience has become a rather good start to further education, career, and further mastering of the language.
