The project explores my practicum experience in Begunbari High School, Birulia, Dhaka where I observed and gave English classes from September to November 2025. The broad goal of the internship was to understand what it is like to be in the classroom and to experience the teaching practice in the classroom, at the secondary level. The investigation examines instructional methodologies, classroom management practices, ways in which students are engaged, and the challenges of both educators and learners in the acquisition of English as a foreign language. Findings show that although English is an important subject, students often encounter problems of fluency and confidence because they have not had enough opportunities to practice, they are often dependent on outdated teaching methods, and they have little technological assistance. The study ends with a series of recommendations that are meant to improve classroom practices and pedagogical strategies to make English instruction more interactive and efficacious. |
