Abstract:
This report details my three-month internship experience at Global Model School in Pirob Bazar,Shibgonj, Bogura, where I explored the impacts of using digital tools to teach English. My main goal was to see if technology could make learning English more engaging and effective for students in a typical Bangladeshi school. During my internship, I used various digital tools like multimedia projectors, YouTube videos, language learning apps like Google Classroom, and even AI tools like ChatGPT to create lesson materials. I observed classes, taught lessons using these tools, and collected feedback from both students and teachers. My findings were very positive. I saw that students were much more attentive, excited, and participative in classes that used digital tools. Their understanding of topics, especially listening and pronunciation skills, improved noticeably. However, I also faced challenges like unstable internet, lack of devices, and a need for teacher training on using technology. Based on my experience, I believe that digital tools can greatly improve English language teaching in Bangladesh. I recommend that schools invest in basic technology and provide training for teachers to help them use these tools effectively.
