Abstract:
This report presents my internship experience as an English language teacher at MA HAAD School, Road-5, Sectoe-13, Uttara, Dhaka. The main focus of the report is on grammar teaching and how creative methods can make grammar learning more meaningful for students. During the internship, I taught English grammar to students of classes 4 and 5, The report compares traditional grammar teaching approaches, particularly the Grammar Translation Method (GTM), with communicative and activity-based methods, especially the Presentation, Practice, Production (PPP) method. I observed that many teachers in the school mostly rely on memorization and rule-based grammar teaching. However, I introduced creativeclassroom activities such as sentence-making games, question–answer practice, real-life usage demonstrations, and group work to help students understand grammar in meaningful contexts. The report concludes that integrating creative and communicative strategies can make grammar teaching more interactive, enjoyable, and effective, especially for young learners.
