Abstract:
My teaching internship significantly transformed my perception of the job of a teacher. My previous understanding of teaching was that it is a professional obligation, yet the actual experience in the classroom made me realize that it is a significant responsibility that can make a student learn and learn, their behavior and future development. I had done my internship in Jahangirpur Government Girls School and college where I was teaching in classes VI, IX, X and XI. The experience was an eye-opener because I was able to work with various age groups, which allowed me to understand the learning requirements of different age groups and enhanced my flexibility and self-esteem. I used the different teaching techniques taught during my course work and even monitored senior teachers to understand how to plan, manage classes, manage time, maintain discipline among students and how to create favorable learning environment. This internship experience taught me certain crucial professional values, including classroom control, student assessment, good communication, and good interpersonal skills. The experience, in general, provided me with a clear notion of what the actual teaching process is and it motivated me to become a responsible and fully committed teacher in the future
