Abstract:
Gambling is typically a voluntary activity, which means that they choose to engage in it. But gambling is illegal in Bangladesh. People of all ages around the globe participate in different games, like gambling, for various leisure activities. The Constitution of Bangladesh states in its Fundamental Principles of State Policy to eliminate gambling, as do other secondary laws which aim to regulate and penalize gambling. The study seeks to imply the current situationof gambling in Bangladesh; determine what laws there are on gambling in Bangladesh; determine the challenges and effectiveness of gambling legislation in Bangladesh; andprovide recommendations on governmental and other issues. The study has determined there are several challenges to legal aspects of gambling in Bangladesh. The study also recommended all levels of legislative, executive, and judiciary effort to control this illegal act. However, unlike gambling and betting, recognized organizations could provide lotteries in Bangladesh.
