dc.description.abstract The main goal of this thesis was to ultimately investigate the connection between Sustainable De- velopment Goals (SDGs) and environmental justice by examining where they affect a fair, equi- table and sustainable world. This research employed an analytical framework that included docu- mentary analysis of legal instruments, policy analysis and case studies to identify key difficulties, opportunities and practices around the world that demonstrate how and what efforts are being un- dertaken to weave in provisions for environmental justice into the implementation of SDGs. This research concludes with hardy governance, inclusive policy making, and empowerment of social communities are essential to building a just and sustainable world. Finally, this research engages with both a theoretical and practical understanding in order to demonstrate the global social move- ment for environmental justice and its connection to the SDGs. This study highlights the call for system change to ensure that no one is left behind as we move towards sustainability.. en_US
