Abstract:
Accessing medicines in Bangladesh can often be frustrating—long queues, limited
stock, and the need for physical prescriptions make it harder for people to get what
they need, especially during emergencies. MediMart was built to solve this. It’s an
online pharmacy platform where users can easily find and order medicines from home,
with the option to upload prescriptions, track orders, and pay securely through
SSLCOMMERZ. The platform is developed using modern technologies like Next.js,
TypeScript, and Tailwind CSS for the frontend, and Express.js with MongoDB for the
backend. One of the key features is real-time prescription and stock validation, so
users can't accidentally buy expired or restricted products. Admins have their own
dashboard to manage inventory, verify prescriptions, and monitor orders. We tested
the system thoroughly, and it performed reliably across all major functions. Overall,
MediMart combines the best of e-commerce and healthcare, offering a practical
solution for a growing problem in our country. In the future, this system could be
expanded to include mobile apps, smart recommendations, or even blockchain for
verifying medicine authenticity—making it even more powerful and user-friendly.
