Design and Implementation of an app Expense Tracker

Abstract

The "Expense Tracker" is a mobile app designed to make it easier and more convenient to keep track of your money. It's hard to keep track of where our money goes when we're busy. And occasionally we spend too much money. This program will help us keep track of our income and costs, making it easier to manage our spending. This program gives us a clear and complete view of our financial health. It has various user-friendly features, such as support for multiple accounts (bank, card, cash), customisable categories, and visual charts. We can also make reports on a daily, monthly, or yearly basis to learn more about our spending habits and find ways to save. Budget planning and notification are two tools that help us stay on track with our money goals. Multi-currency compatibility makes sure that people from different nations can keep track of their spending in their currency. Users will always be able to use our app, even without an internet connection. This app was made with Android Studio and Java, utilizing the MVVM design, which keeps the code clean and easy to maintain. Used Room Database to store data safely on the device and Firebase to sync data between devices without any problems. Users can save their data to a CSV file for further research. All of the main functions of our app are free, so it's a great tool for anyone who wants to take charge of their money.
