Climate change and its harmful impacts on global ecosystem, especially in aquatic environments cause significant challenges to sustainable aquaculture system. To address this issues, this research proposes novel e-service based on contextual smart aquaculture system using the Internet of Things (IoT). This system aims to optimize aquaculture practices, enhance productivity and mitigate environmental risk. A new contextual aquaculture system is proposed inspired from the previously suggested “ICTization framework model” where a four level conceptual framework is presented, outlining the integration of IoT devices and e-services. Each level is designed to efficiently collect and process real-time data from the aquaculture environment, enabling context aware decision making. By utilizing advance and smart technology the system will be able predict and respond to changes in water quality, temperature and other crucial parameters. The proposed system offers different e-services including remote monitoring, automated feeding and water quality checking which can be very helpful for the aquaculture farmers to make data driven or informed decision, operational efficiency, reduce the labor cost and to get more profit. Moreover, the system can contribute to sustainable aquaculture practices by minimizing environmental impact and optimizing resources utilization. |
