Abstract:
This report shares my experience during a UI/UX design internship, highlighting the key roles, responsibilities, and lessons I learned along the way. The internship took place at Privateye, where my main focus was to create and enhance user interfaces and experiences that met both user needs and business goals.Throughout the internship, I applied user-centred design principles, such as conducting research, creating wireframes and prototypes, and testing designs for usability. Collaboration was a big part of the role—working closely with cross-functional teams, gathering feedback from stakeholders, and making iterative improvements to deliver effective solutions. Some of the key milestones included successfully completing app & website design, improving my skills in design tools like Figma, Adobe XD, and sharpening my ability to solve problems and communicate effectively. Like any role, there were challenges—finding the right balance between user needs and technical constraints was one of them—but I developed strategies to overcome these hurdles.Overall, this internship was a rewarding experience. It gave me a deeper understanding of the fast-paced world of UI/UX design, helped me connect the dots between what I’ve learned in theory and how it’s applied in real-world projects, and set a strong foundation for my future growth in the field
