dc.description.abstract Jute is relative cheap and commercially available natural fiber. Jute is eco- friendly and also biodegradable. Jute fiber recognized for its sustainability & diversified end uses of its excellent mechanical properties. Jute fiber contains higher moisture that causes swelling as a result it degrades the mechanical properties. To overcome this difficulties water repellent jute fabric have been prepared by applying Zelan R3(Alkyl Urethane) a water repellent functional finishing on scoured, bleached & dyed jute fabric by pad-dry-cure method. The outcomes assessed through the drop test & spray test method (ISO 4920; 2012), aim to sustainable development of diversified jute products. en_US
