dc.description.abstract This capstone project focuses on the design and detailing of a two-story primary school building, integrating theoretical knowledge with practical applications to create a safe, functional, and sustainable structure. The structural design was conducted using the ETABS finite element software in compliance with the Bangladesh National Building Code (BNBC, 2020) Key components such as beams, columns, slabs, and foundations were designed to ensure the building's stability and strength. To facilitate precise execution during construction, detailed construction drawings—including floor plans, elevations, and reinforcement layouts—were created using CAD tools like AutoCAD and Revit. Additionally, Excel was utilized to prepare the Bill of Quantities (BOQ), enabling accurate cost estimation, efficient resource management, and aiding in various design calculations. The project emphasizes two primary aspects: environmental considerations, which involve designing a septic tank for effective waste management, and structural design, covering all essential structural elements. Together, these components ensure the successful realization of a primary school structure. en_US
