dc.description.abstract This report examines the credit operations and performance of Jamuna Bank PLC, one of the leading private commercial banks in Bangladesh. The analysis focuses on the bank’s credit management system, portfolio quality, risk mitigation strategies, and overall financial performance in relation to its lending activities. Jamuna Bank has developed a comprehensive credit operation framework designed to ensure sound lending practices and minimize credit risk. The bank offers a diverse range of loan products including corporate loans, SME financing, agricultural credit, retail loans, and trade finance. Its credit policies emphasize strict risk assessment, borrower creditworthiness, and compliance with regulatory guidelines set by the Bangladesh Bank. In recent years, the bank has demonstrated notable growth in its loan portfolio while maintaining a stable non-performing loan (NPL) ratio, indicating prudent credit risk management.
