An Internship Report on “Financial Performance Analysis on Envoy Textile Ltd”

Abstract

This report “Financial Performance Analysis on Envoy Textile Ltd” is based on my three months internship in the factory and corporate office of Envoy Textile Ltd. The main target of the internship was to face pragmatic experience of how financial activities are done in corporates. I did different types of tasks related to finance like bank reconciliation, prepare vat challan, prepare journal, advance adjustments, C&F adjustments, prepare petty cash vouchers also work at the factory. This work and responsibilities helped me to blend with people from different units and departments, which helped me to view how production of sales processes is going and what role finance division is playing. In this report I analyzed and demonstrated company’s overall performance of last five years in ratio analysis method. Moreover, I highlighted the challenges I’ve faced during the internship and my observations on Envoy Textile Ltd, based on those observations’ suggestions were made. This internship helped me learn more about my academic learnings like Letter of Credit, Vat-Tax, fund collection, cost reduction, along with the knowledge from other sectors like textile, marketing, supply chain, audit, commercial, R&D. Before the internship these were only theories for me which I learned from books, but here I got to practically experience and got the chance to partially apply those theories. Overall, the internship was the bridge between my academic learning and how I use those in corporate life.
