Internship Report on “An Analysis of Financial Performance and Investment Decisions in Social Islami Bank PLC”

Abstract

This study is going to discuss about the financial evaluation and invest decisions of SIBL. am in need of you to aid me do a report on Financial Performance Analysis & Investment Decision. Banking sector in economy is so vital in Bangladesh thus it takes uppermost interest to the banks and what they have as their financial policy specifically for a company like supreme islami bank ltd (ISIS) which practices upon Islamic point of view. The purpose of this research is to assess the financial activities and investment decision making as well as risk-return trade off in a competitive market undertaken by SIBL. The analysis reports include profitability, liquidity, capital adequacy and loan quality; all are critical to the viability of a bank. And it assesses the bank’s investment strategy directly, in terms of how well the bank’s investments have performed and their risk to your banking organization over time. The above analysis expressed few strengths and weaknesses of SIBL by depicting the operation using ratio analysis, investment portfolio management and operational efficiency. The numbers show how the bank has turned in consistently strong profits Without falling foul of the complication of Islamic banking, which prohibits interest-based deals. The work also takes a look at how the Islamic financial instruments like Murabaha, Ijarah and Mudarabah affect strategies of the bank on management of finance and investment. It’s also coming from my own experiences of working on SIM with at Social Islami Bank PLC during internship and getting a practical knowledge of how bank works. The task listed below was one of the few I carried out while going through the financial statements, working on collecting and analyzing performance data for decision-meeting.
