This report presents an in-depth analysis of the financial performance of ONE Bank PLC, based
on my three-month internship at the Kathgora Branch in Dhaka, as part of my BBA program
at Daffodil International University. I worked in General Banking, Cash Counter Services, and
the Credit Department during my internship. I did things like opening accounts, processing
transactions, writing loan documents, providing fixed deposit services, and helping customers.
The financial analysis of ONE Bank PLC from 2020 to 2024 showed that the bank had good
liquidity, moderate but changing profitability, better use of assets, and careful management of
leverage. The market value suggested that the company might be undervalued, but the profit
margins showed that it was having trouble because of rising costs and other factors. Based on
these findings, suggestions include improving profitability, making better use of assets,
improving liquidity and risk management, finding new ways to make money through digital
and non-interest income, and focusing on long-term growth that lasts. Overall, this internship
was a great way to connect what I learned in school with what I did in the real world of banking.
It helped me improve my analytical, problem-solving, communication, and professional skills
and get ready for a successful career in banking and finance. |
