Abstract:
This report presents a comprehensive overview of the various operational activities of Modhumoti Bank Limited while identifying areas that require improvement. Additionally, it examines how these activities influence the bank’s profitability. The report is based on my three-month internship experience at Modhumoti Bank Limited, providing me with valuable insights into the practical realities of corporate life. In today’s fast-paced economic environment, banking institutions play a crucial role in sustaining economic development, and efficient banking services encompass a wide range of general banking functions. Modhumoti Bank Limited was officially established on September 19, 2013, under the Central Bank Law, adhering to all rules and regulations outlined in the Companies Act 1994 and the Bank Companies Act 1991. The bank also complies with the policies of the Bangladesh Bank BRPD (Banking Regulation and Policy Department). The institution envisions leading the new generation of local commercial banks by enhancing customer experience through highly skilled employees, innovative technological solutions, and superior banking products and services. One of its key initiatives includes offering agent banking services to reach a wider customer base. This report begins with a detailed profile of Modhumoti Bank Limited, including its background, mission, vision, and the range of financial services it provides. It then discusses my internship responsibilities and experiences at the bank. A significant portion of the report focuses on Human Resource Management (HRM) practices at Modhumoti Bank, elaborating on various HR functions with relevant examples. The final section highlights key HRM factors within the bank, offering an analysis of their impact on overall operations. Through this report, I aim to reflect on my practical experience in branch banking while gaining a deeper understanding of banking functions, operational processes, and the overall banking system.
