In the evolving landscape of Bangladesh's banking sector, private banks are becoming increasingly competitive. This section focuses on commonly used financial reports, such as balance sheets and profit-and-loss Statement, which reveal a bank's financial health and strengths and weaknesses. Ratio analysis plays a crucial role in evaluating these reports. It allows for the assessment of a bank's performance over time or in comparison with industry peers. My report emphasizes the analysis of NRBC Bank's financial Statement to draw significant conclusions about its changing financial conditions. Through ratio analysis, evaluators—such as financial experts, board members, and bank managers—can make informed decisions based on these key metrics. Liquidity ratios and efficiency ratios are particularly important for bank monitoring groups and financial analysts. As part of my MBA program, I completed a twelve weeks’ internship at NRBC Bank PLC. During this time, I gained hands-on experience in general banking practices, including clearing checks and working at the cash counter. This practical experience allowed me to investigate NRBC Bank's financial ratios. In preparing this report, I found that analyzing financial Statement through ratio analysis helps identify past mistakes and guides future decisions and strategies. Thus, it is essential for every organization to provide comprehensive financial Statement and analyze them quantitatively. |
