Abstract:
This report evaluates the Internal Control System and Accounting Information System
(AIS) of Madaripur Spinning Mills (Pvt.) Limited, with emphasis on QuickBooks
integration. Based on interviews and company records, the study found strong financial
controls and partial AIS automation, but also identified underutilized software features,
manual inventory handling, limited cybersecurity, and reliance on key personnel.
Operational issues such as outdated machinery, frequent power interruptions, and
minimal export market penetration were also observed. Recommendations include advanced AIS/QuickBooks training, real-time data integration,
secure cloud backups, barcode-based inventory management, and machinery
modernization. Establishing an R&D unit, obtaining global textile certifications, and
creating an export-focused marketing strategy are suggested to enhance competitiveness.
Implementing these measures would strengthen internal controls, improve operational
efficiency, and expand both domestic and international market reach.
