This report presents an in-depth analysis of the performance appraisal and management
activities at EXIM Bank Limited, specifically focusing on the Nayarhat, Ashulia
branch. It highlights the importance of performance appraisal in aligning employee
efforts with the bank’s strategic objectives, especially in a competitive banking
environment. The study was conducted through a three-month internship where the
intern actively engaged with the HR and general administration departments. Key
responsibilities included assisting in documentation, managing employee files,
supporting appraisal form processing, and observing training and recruitment
procedures. The findings reveal that EXIM Bank employs a structured and welldocumented performance appraisal system, which includes annual reviews, key
performance indicators (KPIs), feedback mechanisms, and employee development
plans. The bank offers different training and incentive programs to improve employee
performance. Despite its strengths, some gaps were found, like limited digitalization
and the need for more regular performance feedback. The report ends with suggestions
