Abstract:
The report "Working Capital Management Practices in an IT Product-Based Company – A
Case Study on Eastern IT" is based on a three-month internship experience. This report examines
how Eastern IT manages working capital and maintain its financial viability and flexibility in the
IT space. The report covers the purpose and scope of the study and provides an overview of the
company mission, and contributions to the ICT sector in Bangladesh. During the internship period,
I was responsible for overseeing receivables, payables; invoicing and assisting in financial
statements preparation.
This internship assisted me to understand financial controls. Conclusions of the report identify the
key emphasis on liquidity, the management of cash flow, and linkages to the activities within
departments.
The report is concluded with personal reflections, recommendations and academic implications of
the experience
