Abstract

This report is a comprehensive analysis of the reservation process of the Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa that was come across during the internship at the Reservations Department of the hotel, Department of Revenue hotel This internship is a compulsory part of the Bachelor of Tourism and Hospitality Management at Daffodil International University and spanned over the duration of 6 months, experiencing almost all aspects of the reservation process. The introduction chapter constitutes background of the report, scope of the study, broad objective, specific objective, methodology, secondary data sources and limitations of the study which highlights the importance of practical experience in the industry of hospitality as well. It refers to the role and responsibilities fulfilled in the internship position with clarity on what the objectives entail. The Company profile chapter shows mission, vision, goal, organizational structure, all departments, service & amenities, room detail with lush green hills rising from the east and endless sea stretching on the west provide the resort with panoramic visuals of Bay of Bengal, Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa. Situated in the natural environment at the world’s longest natural sand beach. The analysis and discussion chapter represents the reservation process of Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa which works via booking channels. This chapter also details how to generate, amend, create, cancel, and postpone the reservation. The findings, recommendations, and conclusion chapter Issues related to the reservation process and peak seasons over the month include Super Major Finding such as Handling the Overbooking & high occupancy periods are addressed under the Findings & recommendations section and Creating Double Booking. The recommendations that follow this research findings work accordingly to optimizing operational efficiency while keeping the guests highly satisfied at the Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa. Then, a comment mentions the Excellency, Beauty & Reputation of Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa as a world's best Beach Resort with best facilities & superb view of sea & sea view, hospitality, excellence – Sea Pearl Beach Resort & Spa. This experience has also illustrated the favorable reputation and smooth administration of the resort by offering an ideal experience in making reservations.
