Abstract:
This report tells the story of my internship at Grameen Bank. A respected name. Known for
offering small loans to people with low income. Not just for money but to improve lives. To
help someone start over. Or just start.
I’ve covered the basics like the bank’s history, goals, and services. But more importantly, what
I did there. What I saw. What I felt.
From day one, I was involved. Helped customers. Handled loan files. Assisted in communitybased programs. Real work. Not just sitting behind a desk. I collected client info, prepared
paperwork, joined meetings with borrowers. Felt nervous sometimes. But it passed. Every
person had a story. A shop to open. A cow to buy. A future to fight for.
That’s when it hit me, microfinance isn’t some abstract thing from a textbook. It’s real. But
powerful. And Grameen Bank? It’s not just about loans. It’s about trust.
I also got to use some tools data entry systems, reporting software. Stuff that keeps everything
running. At first, a bit confusing. But I learned. Slowly. Working with different teams taught
me how much communication matters. Teamwork too. Can't do it alone.
This internship? Gave me more than skills. It gave me confidence. Helped me connect
classroom lessons to real life. And yeah, it made me think clearer about what I want. Maybe
something in finance. Or development. Something that helps people.
