Abstract:
The report provides an overview of my internship experience in the Sales and marketing department of DuSai Resort & Spa, where I worked for 6 months. The primary objective of the internship was to gain hands-on experience in sales strategies, marketing campaigns, and customer engagement techniques, while also enhancing my understanding of the hospitality and tourism industry. During the internship, I was involved in a variety of tasks including market research, content creation for promotional materials, assisting in the development of digital marketing strategies, and participating in customer outreach initiatives. I was able to work closely with the sales team to understand how they approached lead generation, customer relationship management, and the closing of deals. Additionally, I learned about the importance of brand positioning, market segmentation, and targeted advertising campaigns DuSai Resort & Spa is the first luxurious 5-star standard boutique Villa Type Resort & Spa in Bangladesh nestled inside 14 acres of rolling hills land dotted with thousands of trees and flanked by an 800 feet long serpentine lake on the south and two large fish ponds on the north, just beside the largest concentration of tea gardens in Moulvibazar District, Sylhet Region, about 200 kms north-east of Dhaka. An internship in reservation typically refers to a hands-on learning experience in the reservations department of a hotel, resort, or other hospitality-related business. As an intern I faced lots of positive terms and I also faced some problems like they have rigid cancellation system. The should be more flexible with their guest. Sometimes they don’t allow any kind of event on the resort. They should be done more programs and events in their resort. And they have to also offer flexible modification options for the guests. Also experienced and learn lots of the process of sales and marketing and the process of reservation. They have some amazing opportunities like they provide transport from the airport or railway or a significant location of Sylhet.Lastly I can say that, My 6 month of internship at DuSai Resort & Spa is an great experience and from my team members, I learn many more things about sales and marketing and reservation
