Abstract:
This report, titled "Foreign Exchange Activities of Sonali Bank PLC," presents a
comprehensive analysis of the bank's foreign exchange operations, emphasizing its role in
facilitating international trade and supporting the financial needs of individuals and businesses
in a globalized economy.
The study outlines the key functions of the foreign exchange department, including currency
exchange, management of import and export transactions, handling of remittance services, and
regulatory compliance with the foreign exchange policies of Bangladesh Bank. It highlights
the operational strategies employed by Sonali Bank PLC to manage the complexities of foreign
currency transactions, maintain liquidity, and mitigate risks associated with currency
