Abstract

information technology is an inevitable part of modern education. It plays an important role to build up the student’s competence to prepare them for facing the challenge of the 21st century. With the intention of flourishing the latest ICT friendly education, Daffodil International University has taken a gigantic initiative of “One Student-one Laptop” program which is one step ahead of the declaration of the government program digital Bangladesh. Through this initiative, DIU distributed 500 laptops on September 25, 2013. Mr. Md. Sabur Khan, Chairman, Board of Trustees, Daffodil International University and President, Dhaka Chamber of Commerce and Industry (DCCI), was present on the laptop distribution program as the chief guest. The program was presided over by Professor Dr. M. Lutfar Rahman, Vice Chancellor, Daffodil International University, and the function was addressed by Prof. Dr. S. M. Mahabub Ul Haque Majumder, Dean, Faculty of Science and Information Technology. Prof. Dr. Md. Fokhray Hossain, Registrar, Prof. Dr. Golam Mawola Choudhury, Controller of Examinations and Mr. Syed Mizanur Rahman, Director of Student Affairs, were present in this program.
